Elected in 2009, the Rt. Rev. W. Andrew Waldo is the Eighth Bishop of the

Diocese of Upper SC. During his tenure, he has proclaimed and implemented

a missional, vision calling parishes and individuals to "make, equip and send

mature disciples of Christ."


The Diocese of Upper South Carolina is part of the 2.1 million-member

Episcopal Church. The Episcopal Church belongs to the Worldwide Anglican Communion, 85 million members strong. BISHOP ANDREW WALDO


John started his musical career at the age of five when he accepted requests to play

a toy accordion at Christmas.  After taking piano lessons throughout his childhood,

he received further instruction from Cortlandt Koonts at Erskine College, where

he studied organ performance. John enjoys playing instruments in the

various churches he visits.  His most memorable performances are those

at Westminster Abbey and St. Paul’s Cathedral, London.  John has served

Trinity Episcopal Church since 1998.
